Our East Friesian / Lacaune / Finn cross is bred with several jobs in mind.
Why this cross
Our goals are hardiness, larger litters, dairy production, and larger wethers for the freezer. East Friesian and Lacaune bring established dairy backgrounds; Finnsheep are known for prolificacy. We bring those influences together with the practical needs of our Maine homestead in mind.
Those are our breeding goals, not a promise that every ewe will produce a particular litter size or milk volume. Feeding, health, management, and the individual animal all matter.
Baby lambs
Young lambs for buyers starting or growing their own flock. Sex, parentage, feeding status, and pickup timing will be confirmed for each animal.
Wethers: live or boxed
On the hoof: a live wether.
In a box: whole or partial lamb orders, with the cuts, weight basis, processing arrangements, and price confirmed before ordering. A wether is a castrated male sheep.
Boxed lamb will be offered through the applicable inspected processing and sales channel. Availability follows growth and processor scheduling.
