Spotted wool. Distinctive horns. A place in our flock.

Jacob sheep bring heritage, useful wool, and unmistakable character to His Homestead.

What makes a Jacob a Jacob

Jacobs are a spotted, horned heritage sheep. Their black-and-white fleece gives handspinners natural colors to work with, while their distinctive horns make them easy to recognize. Individuals may have two, four, or occasionally more horns.

Why we raise them

We value sheep that belong in a working family homestead: hardy animals, useful fleece, and a breed worth carrying forward. Jacobs give our flock diversity and connect everyday shepherding with the care of an old breed. Their name recalls the biblical account of Jacob’s spotted sheep, though that association is not a documented pedigree back to the ancient flock.
